Section 3
Setting Appropriate Density

Trying to find the right density for this place
3.1
DEFINING DENSITY
Define density as the total area of built space per unit area of land.

3.2
SETTING OVERALL DENSITY
Choose an appropriate density from a table of different densities based on the human experience they create.

3.3
CLUSTERING AND SECOND ORDER DENSITY
Variations in density to make it non-homogeneous, are very, very important.

3.4
MAKING THE SURROUNDINGS WHOLE
Check the impact of the density on the surroundings on all sides, and choose according to what is good for them.

Purpose of the third phase of work. This third phase takes you through the essential issue of establishing the right and appropriate density of buildings on the land.

Density has become one of the most abused aspects of recent decades of environmental degradation.
